Packaging Sustainability

I try my best to use sustainable packaging to bring as little harm to the planet as possible, while still protecting my products. I also try to buy packaging supplies as locally as possible. Everything I use is listed below if you're curious about the specifics or are wondering how you can dispose of the packaging.

Standard Envelopes

  • I use these to send any orders containing only stickers since they're small and easy to mail.
  • Made from recycled paper and are fully recyclable.

Rigid Envelopes

  • This is what I send my prints in since they are rigid with reinforced sides to prevent damage.
  • Made from 100% recycled cardboard and can be recycled after receiving.

Cellulose Film

  • This is what I wrap my products in to help protect against water, etc. It looks like plastic, but it's actually biodegradable and compostable!  ‧₊˚🌿⋅
  •  It is EN 13432 compostable, meaning it biodegrades down to CO2, H2O, and biomass, making it much less harmful to the earth than plastic.
  • This film is able to break down in home or commercial composting (but will be much faster in commercial compost).

Washi Tape

  • I use washi tape to help keep the cellulose film wrapping together. It is an eco-friendly alternative to regular tape since it is made from acid-free Japanese rice paper.
  • Fully recyclable and home or commercial compostable.

Paper Packing Tape

  • I add a strip of this to my rigid envelopes to add a little more protection, making extra sure the envelope doesn't pop open on it's way to you.
  • Made from FSC certified paper and is fully recyclable.

Stamp

  • I add a stamp of my little mail cat to the envelope of each of my orders ✉⊹
  • The stamp itself is made of an FSC certified wooden handle/base, and a synthetic rubber, soy-based inkpad.
  • The ink used is also soy-based.
